Listify IDX can show Northwest MLS listings on your website with a map, filters, and a page for every listing. NWMLS licenses its data only through MLS Grid, where you and your broker sign the license and NWMLS approves it. Each listing shows the listing broker in the format NWMLS requires. Once you sign up, we set up the connection with you.

How the Northwest MLS connection works
Northwest MLS is a broker-owned, not-for-profit MLS. It began in 1984 as the Puget Sound Multiple Listing Association and voted to become the Northwest Multiple Listing Service in 1996. Its primary service area spans 26 counties in Washington State, and since 2020 it also serves Umatilla County in Oregon.
NWMLS licenses its listing data only through MLS Grid, a RESO Web API platform. Its data use policy says using the data requires licensing it from MLS Grid, and NWMLS enforces that policy with fines for unlicensed or noncompliant use.
How to get connected
- We invite you through MLS Grid. As your vendor, we start the request in MLS Grid. For an agent’s site, the request includes both the agent’s and the broker’s information, as the MLS Grid guides explain.
- You and your broker sign. The agent signs the license first, then the broker.
- NWMLS approves, and MLS Grid opens the feed for your website.
Once you sign up, we set up the Northwest MLS connection with you. NWMLS handles its data access approval, and we handle the rest.
Northwest MLS may charge its own MLS data fees for access to your listing data, and MLS Grid collects setup and ongoing license fees on its behalf. Those fees are set by NWMLS, are separate from your Listify IDX subscription, and are paid by you. We never mark them up. See our Terms of Use.
What visitors see on your website
NWMLS uses the MLS Grid IDX Rules, with rules written for its participants only:
- The listing broker, in NWMLS’s format: “Listing Broker:” followed by the firm, broker name, phone, and email, as prominent as and next to any contact or call-to-action button. Sold listings also show the buyer’s brokerage.
- MLS Grid as the source, with “Listings courtesy of” the MLS “as distributed by MLS GRID,” a “Based on information submitted to the MLS GRID” notice, and an MLS Grid logo on the first page that shows listings.
- No expired, canceled, temporarily off-market, or sale-fail release listings. NWMLS doesn’t allow them on IDX sites.
- First Look listings only with the seller’s consent. Sellers decide whether a First Look listing appears on IDX websites.
We set up your search to meet these rules when we connect your feed.
What you need
- A Northwest MLS membership, and your broker’s signature on the MLS Grid license.
- A website where you can add your own code. Any website builder with a code embed or custom HTML block works.
- A Listify IDX account on the Plus plan or higher, which includes MLS feeds.
Works on the website you already have
Listify IDX adds property search to the website you have now. You or your web team copy and paste a single piece of code, called an embed code, into the page, and the search appears there. See the steps for Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Showit, or any other website.
