What each product is
Listify IDX adds MLS and IDX property search to a real estate website. You, or someone in your office, copy and paste one piece of code on an existing page of your site, and buyers can instantly browse listings, use the map, and open any home without leaving your site. It's built for agents and real estate offices who run their own site on a builder like Webflow, Squarespace or Wix, or have a web designer who runs it for them.
RealScout describes itself as a lead nurture platform. It keeps the contacts you already have engaged with listing alerts, home values, and market updates, and it says it's different from a traditional IDX site. Its search widgets are a way to send people from your website into RealScout, where they sign up, search, and become contacts in its system.
Feature comparison
| Feature | Listify IDX | RealScout |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Property search for your own website: map and list search, filters, and a page for every listing. | A lead nurture platform that sends your contacts listing alerts and home values. RealScout says it's different from a traditional IDX site and works alongside your CRM. |
| How it works | Add one piece of code to your page and the search appears there, with nothing to update. You'll always be using the latest version of Listify's platform as it's updated regularly. | Search widgets go on your site, and RealScout says they drive traffic from your website into RealScout, so buyers leave your site to keep searching. |
| Where listing pages live | On your own website, on the page that holds the search. Each listing gets its own shareable URL that takes visitors directly to your website. | On RealScout's platform. Even your RealScout landing page sits at a RealScout web address, and the full search runs on RealScout's site, not yours. |
| Setup | One embed code, pasted into one spot on your page. | Two pieces of code: one in the page's head, and one where each widget goes. RealScout suggests sending both to your website developer or provider. |
| Look and branding | Fits the page it sits on and adapts beautifully to phones, tablets, and computers. Plus and higher plans add your own branding. | Search widgets can match your brand color, with limited other options. Carrying your branding across search, email, and mobile is a paid add-on. |
| On phones | The same search on your website, sized for the phone in the buyer's hand. | A separate RealScout home search app for your contacts, so buyers browse in RealScout's app instead of on your site. |
| Leads and CRM | Visitor inquiries come to you by email, or go straight into the listing platform or CRM you already use, when it has an API we can connect to. Keep using the tools you have. | Visitors who submit through a widget become contacts inside RealScout, which can sync with several popular CRMs. |
| Pricing | Published prices, from $49/mo on the Basic plan. Free to try, no contract. | Plans for solo agents, teams, and brokerages, billed monthly or yearly. Some monthly plans carry a 12-month term, more contacts cost extra, and brokerage pricing is quoted on a sales call. |
| Listing data | Any MLS feed, with RESO-standard feeds connected in 24 to 48 hours, any third-party platform or tool, or your own custom system. | Live in hundreds of US markets, so check RealScout for your MLS before you buy. |
Search that stays on your own pages
RealScout's widgets look like search on your site, but RealScout says their purpose is to drive traffic from your website into RealScout. Once a buyer starts searching, they're browsing on RealScout's platform, not your website. Even the landing page RealScout gives you sits at a RealScout web address.
With Listify IDX, the search sits on pages you already have, and every listing gets its own URL on your website that Google can find. Read how this helps your site show up in search. Your site, web address, and design stay in your hands. If you ever cancel, you simply delete the Listify embed code and the rest of your site stays as it is.
One piece of code, nothing to keep updated
Listify IDX is built on web standards that every modern browser already understands, so there's nothing to install. The same embed code works anywhere across the modern web, and new features show up on your site automatically. RealScout's widgets need two pieces of code: one in the page's head, and one where each widget goes. Its help center suggests handing them to your website developer or provider.
Pricing
RealScout sells separate plans for solo agents, teams, and brokerages. You can pay monthly or yearly, but some monthly plans still come with a 12-month term. Adding more contacts costs extra, so does carrying your branding across search, email, and mobile, and brokerage pricing is quoted on a sales call. Check RealScout's website for current details.
Listify IDX publishes its plans and pricing, from $49/mo. It's free to try with no credit card, and there's no contract.
When RealScout is the better choice
Pick RealScout if you already have a large list of past clients and contacts, and your priority is keeping them engaged with automated listing alerts and home value updates. That's a different job from search on your website, and some agents use a nurture tool alongside IDX search on their site.
If a web designer runs your site
Some agents and offices have a designer or developer look after their website. Listify IDX works for them too: they paste your embed code into the page and listings appear, with nothing to send visitors away to.
Alternatives to RealScout
Before you choose, ask any provider the hard questions. Do visitors stay on my site, or do you send them to yours? How easy is it to cancel and migrate away from your platform? What is the full monthly or annual cost, including add-ons and contract terms? How often do you update your product to adapt to things like new device types and technologies, or in response to customer feedback?

What you need, and what Listify IDX doesn't replace
Listings come from the data sources you connect: listing platforms we already integrate with, MLS feeds (including standard RESO Web API feeds), or your own custom API. Contact support with specific questions about data sources and integration.
Once your account is approved, your embed code is in your Listify dashboard, ready for you or your web designer to paste in. Listify IDX doesn't host websites, include a CRM (contact management) tool, or send automated listing alerts to your contacts yet. Visitor inquiries come to you, and you follow up with the tools you already use.
