Listify IDX can show HAR MLS listings on your website with a map, filters, and a page for every listing. HAR licenses IDX data under a three-way agreement between your broker, the vendor, and HAR, and delivers it through Trestle or Bridge. Sold prices never appear, as HAR's rules require. Once you sign up, we set up the connection with you.

How the HAR connection works
HAR’s MLS is run by Houston Realtors Information Service, Inc. (HRIS), the MLS company of the Houston Association of REALTORS. It covers Harris, Fort Bend, and Montgomery counties, plus parts of Brazoria, Galveston, Waller, and Wharton counties. The association was the Houston Board of REALTORS until 1990, when it took its current name.
HAR offers IDX data several ways: through Trestle, by RETS or the RESO Web API, and through Bridge Interactive’s Web API. HAR’s agreement says the Bridge feed covers a subset of active MLS data.
HAR shares data with other Texas MLSs, including NTREIS in North Texas, but those shared listings stay inside HAR’s MLS system. HAR says they aren’t included in any data feeds, so your website shows HAR’s own listings.
How to get connected
- Your broker signs the data license. HAR uses a three-way agreement between the broker, a data licensee such as Listify IDX, and HRIS. The broker must be a participant subscriber, and agents can run an IDX site with their participant broker’s consent. HAR’s three-way agreement spells out the terms.
- Pick the feed. The agreement names the delivery options, Trestle or Bridge, and the statuses each IDX feed carries.
Once you sign up, we set up the HAR connection with you. HAR handles its data access approval, and we handle the rest.
HAR may charge its own MLS data fees for access to your listing data. Its agreement lists a one-time setup fee and an annual access fee for IDX, with Trestle and Bridge fees charged separately, and no HAR fee for a broker’s own primary feed. Those fees are set by HAR, are separate from your Listify IDX subscription, and are paid by you. We never mark them up. See our Terms of Use.
What visitors see on your website
HAR’s IDX rules (Section 18 of its MLS rules) shape what your search shows:
- Only certain statuses. Active, Option Pending, Pending Continuing to Show, and Pending listings may appear. Coming Soon, expired, withdrawn, terminated, and private listings can’t.
- No sale prices. HAR’s rules don’t allow the sales price on IDX displays.
- The listing firm and its email or phone number on each listing, in text as large as the rest of the listing.
- HAR’s notice: “Copyright © (current year), Houston Realtors Information Service, Inc.,” with a note that all information should be independently verified, and the date of the last data update.
- Withheld listings stay off. Sellers can withhold a listing or its address from IDX.
We set up your search to meet these rules when we connect your feed.
What you need
- A HAR MLS subscription, and your participant broker’s signature on HAR’s data license agreement.
- Your brokerage name on your website, as HAR’s rules require.
- A website where you can add your own code. Any website builder with a code embed or custom HTML block works.
- A Listify IDX account on the Plus plan or higher, which includes MLS feeds.
Works on the website you already have
Listify IDX adds property search to the website you have now. You or your web team copy and paste a single piece of code, called an embed code, into the page, and the search appears there. See the steps for Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Showit, or any other website.
